Juniors and Seniors! Friday August 16th, through September 6th, the PTSA will be in the cafeteria selling South side parking spots to personalize and paint for $50. They will be taking cash, card and check. Stop by for more information.

Don’t stress on missing out on your child performing with the football team, band, or cheer squad. Come out early, grab a great meal and relax with your fellow parents and friends.
Please plan on wearing your ID from last year beginning Day 1. That means that your Vines or Clark ID is okay if you’re a junior. Starting on Day 3 campus doors will all be locked during class. See your 2nd period teacher or go by the Student Center in the cafeteria for a temporary badge if needed.
Seniors who did not get their yearbook picture made this summer will have an opportunity on Aug 26 in the cafeteria in the PRIDE Lounge.
All Juniors will have their yearbook picture made Aug 28-29 through their social studies classes.
If you have A lunch, you should be back on campus by 12:30 to be to your 4th period class on time. You will be tardy at 12:36.
If you have B lunch, you should be back on campus by 1:25 to be to your 5th period class on time. You will be tardy at 1:33.
Pick up your ID badges in Student Center
STUDENT PARKING PASSES:
Student Parking Passes can be picked up in the Alpha Student Center in the morning between 7:45 and 8:50 and during BOTH LUNCHES or an “off” period. Do not come during your class time. You MUST present your DRIVER LICENSE and CURRENT INSURANCE CARD in order to receive your Parking Pass. If you purchased your Pass online, be sure to bring your receipt. You must pre-register your vehicle in Parent Portal before picking up your pass.
Starting August 26th vehicles may get towed if you do not have your parking permit.
Remember DO NOT park in:
- Numbered Spots
- Handicap Spots
- Visitor Spots
- Student Congress spots when those spots get sold and painted. You will get towed.

VIDEO INTERNS NEEDED:
The PISD Athletic department is looking for motivated students who are interested in learning how to video live sporting events. No experience is necessary. Learn how to shoot video from the press-box camera deck and the sidelines. Instruction will be provided on-site. Video interns are needed for Clark Stadium on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and Kimbrough Stadium on Fridays. This internship will be a great addition to your college resume.

SPEECH AND DEBATE
Beginning-of-the-year parent meetings are Thursday, August 15th and Tuesday, August 20th from 6:30-8:00pm. The meetings will be in the Lecture Hall. Each student must have at least one adult parent or guardian at one of the two meetings.

SCHEDULE CHANGE GUIDELINES
I. Schedule changes/corrections for the fall semester 2019 will be made in the following instances:
Student is enrolled in a class for which he/she has already received credit.
Student has failed a course prerequisite.
Student does not have 7 periods scheduled.
Student has an obvious error, such as the same class scheduled twice.
Student passed a credit by exam, eSchool or summer school course and should be moved into a different class.
Class balancing (we try to keep this to a minimum, but it is sometimes unavoidable.)
II. Due to the complexity of the Master Schedule, we cannot make elective changes.
III. In order to give all students sufficient time to adjust to academic expectations, level change requests may be submitted for consideration beginning September 9th per PISD guidelines.
