Youth Art Month, Two Artworks Selected for Capitol Exhibition

March 15, 2021

Each year, districts across the state submit artwork created by pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade student artists in consideration for selection for the Youth Art Month (YAM) State Capitol Exhibition in Austin. This year, artwork was submitted digitally. Eight works of art by Plano ISD students were selected by the Plano ISD fine arts department to be considered for this exhibition in March, 2020.

Two Plano ISD student artworks have been selected by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) for the Youth Art Month (YAM) exhibition with over 100 pieces of student artwork at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and in the Lower Rotunda of the State Capitol Building in Austin. The 2020-2021 theme is "Art Connects Us."
