National Principals' Month
October 25. 2021
At their October 19 meeting, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in recognition of National Principals Month. National Principals Month is celebrated each October in collaboration with the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and Congress. It is an opportunity for district leaders, elected officials, parents, students, teachers, staff, school leaders and communities to celebrate and honor principals for their visionary leadership and tireless pursuit of success for each student.
Superintendent Sara Bonser stated, "We recognize our principals' outstanding leadership and honor their role in the success of their campuses and the district. Principals ensure that each individual learner has access to a high-quality education. We are proud to celebrate our principals' achievements during National Principals’ Month and throughout the year."
Plano ISD is also celebrating principals during the month of October by featuring principals on district and school social media platforms. The community can participate in the celebration by sharing their appreciation messages on social media using the hashtags #ThankaPrincipal and #PISDDedicatedtoCaring.
