Dec. 1, 2017 - Congressional Debate Students Advance to UIL State Competition

 The UIL Region 10 Congressional Debate Meet was held on November 1 at Princeton High School. Students from 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A schools competed in order to qualify for the UIL State Congressional Debate Tournament in Austin on January 8-10. The top three from each Regional ESC qualify for the State Tournament, during which the final round is held in the Capitol Building.

Qualifying for the State tournament in 6A competition are:

  • Navnit Mohan, Plano Senior High School, first place 
  • Mishan Kara, Plano West Senior High School, second place 
  • Nicolas Teachenor, Plano Senior High School. third place 

Navnit Mohan, Nicolas Teachenor, and Nicholas Senktas (alternate)
