Mar. 19, 2019 - Plano ISD Visual Arts Coordinator Is a Graduate of the School for Art Leaders 2019 Leadership Class
Plano ISD Visual Arts Coordinator Laura Grundler was one of only 25 educators chosen to participate in the annual School for Art Leaders (SAL) leadership class 2019. Having completed the seven-month program, she along with her fellow SAL graduates, were celebrated at the National Art Education Association (NAEA) national conference in Boston in March.

Laura's SAL leadership journey began in summer 2018 with a five-day intensive learning program at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, and the program culminated with the presentation of her capstone project that was shared at the NAEA national conference. "We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and connected leader on our Plano ISD team," said Kathy Kuddes director for fine arts.
More about the NAEA School for Art Leaders (SAL)
SAL uses experiential action learning modules and in-depth conversations with expert leaders. The program provides participants with learning experiences and skills to successfully lead in any environment. Program participants apply and are selected for each class annually with the expectation that they will contribute to the development of an extraordinary community cohort committed to leadership excellence. Upon successful completion, participants become members of the national School for Art Leaders network and are positioned to excel as leaders in education, the arts and advocacy.
