Plano ISD Chief Financial Officer Randy McDowell has been honored with the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) Commitment to Excellence award. "Randy McDowell is one of the most knowledgeable, expert chief financial officers in the state," said Superintendent Sara Bonser.
This is the highest individual honor given by TASBO to a member who best distinguishes themselves within their profession, within their district and within TASBO. Attending the April 6 board meeting to make the presentation were Tracy Ginsburg, executive director for TASBO and Michael Steffan vice president of Equitable the award sponsor.
On behalf of McDowell, TASBO has made a donation to the TASBO Scholarship Fund, and TASBO strategic partner, Equitable, has provided a donation of $3,000. McDowell has generously donated his award to the Plano ISD Education Foundation.
