The Plano West Senior High Speech and Debate Team brought home a national championship!

On May 4-5, 2024, the Wolfpack competed in the Extemporaneous Speaking Tournament of Champions, held at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Plano West had five qualified competitors along with two students that qualified from Shepton High School.

Out of 20 schools and 50 competitors invited, Plano West earned the top spot and captured the Sweepstakes Championship as the Best Limited Prep Speaking School in the country!

Finalists:

• (Alexandre) Sasha Morel-Champion in both Extemporaneous Speaking and Impromptu Speaking
• Abraham Zhang-5th Place Overall

Quarterfinalist (Top 24 in the Nation)
