Mrs. Chambers was among 33 trustees who made up the 2024 cohort for the highly competitive and selective program that elevates school board members from across Texas. Trustees attended the year-long program, dedicating more than 75 hours to learning how to achieve better governance and superior schools in the state, culminating in a graduation ceremony at the Annual TASB Summer Leadership Institute in Fort Worth on June 21, 2024. While in the program, Mrs. Chambers studied how to enhance support for the approximately 48,000 students in Plano ISD by examining best practices and research-based techniques for leading school improvement efforts through policy, collaboration and community engagement.

Mrs. Chambers has served on the Plano ISD School Board since 2018 and was elected to her second term in 2021. With this accomplishment, she joins Board President Nancy Humphrey as a Master Trustee. Mrs. Humphrey graduated from Leadership TASB in 2015. Learn more about Trustee Chambers.
