Plano ISD Deputy Superintendent Honored with Altrusa International Award
October 18, 2024
Plano ISD Deputy Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, & Life Readiness Lisa Wilson was a recipient of the 2024 "Outstanding Women of Today" Award by the Altrusa International of Richardson Foundation during their annual Outstanding Women of Today...Builders of Tomorrow Luncheon held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Richardson.
Ms. Wilson was one of five recipients selected in the Education field. The event recognizes women who have reached out to others in the community to make their lives better. Women who exemplify determination and leadership are commended for tireless efforts to improve the lives of others and to contribute to the well-being of our community.
An Outstanding Women of Today nomination is a distinguished honor for professional accomplishments. Women are recognized for exemplifying determination and innovation, and for making outstanding contributions in their chosen careers.
Honorees are recognized and applauded for making a difference in the future of women and providing leadership in their fields. All nominees are honored at the luncheon and awards presentation. On average, more than 300 community leaders attend this annual event.
This is the second consecutive year that Plano ISD was represented. Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams was one of the recipients of the 2023 award.
