Oct. 27, 2018 - Texas Foreign Language Association Honors Two Plano ISD Teachers with Excellence in Teaching Awards
Each year, the Texas Foreign Language Association (TFLA) honors five teachers in the state with the TFLA Excellence In Teaching Award. The Plano ISD Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Department is proud to share that two Plano ISD teachers were honored with the award of excellence at the 2018 Fall Conference held October 25-27 in San Antonio, Texas:
- Pauline Sinnamon, French teacher at Plano East Senior High (find out more about Pauline on her teacher page)
- Daphne Warren, German teacher at Plano Senior High School (find out more about Daphne on her teacher page)
"We are all very proud of Daphne and Pauline for receiving this honor and representing the district with their passion for our students," said Stephany Sipes, Coordinator for World Languages.
The 2018 Excellence in Teaching award recipients were chosen based on evidence of outstanding teaching, involvement in campus and language activities, professional contributions, curriculum development and teaching experiences.
