We wanted to follow up with you on the distribution of Chromebooks. Last spring, it was an option to pick up a Chromebook if your family did not have a device for your student to complete work. This fall, it is not an option. All students will be required to utilize a District Issued Chromebook for some or all of their school work. Some examples of when a Chromebook will be required is for testing. The district has software that will be utilized to help create a secure testing environment. This software is only accessible through a district Chromebook.
Previously it had been shared that a paper copy of the Student Technology Equipment Checkout Request Form be completed before you come to campus. This is no longer necessary. We will have an electronic form for you to fill out when you check in.
Every student will be required to checkout a Chromebook this year. This will allow us the flexibility to adjust if necessary according to health concerns in regards to COVID 19. All students are required to come to campus to retrieve a Chromebook. Families will need to sign up their students for a designated time slot for either August 3, 4, or 6th. You will come to the door near the IB World Entrance off the bus lane. When you arrive, you will be asked to sign in using a QR code or Website Link. This will help speed up the process.
