The Plano West Senior High School Symphony Orchestra (combined orchestra and band) has captured the 2023 Honor Full Orchestra title for the state of Texas and will perform at the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) convention in San Antonio in February 2023.
This is the highest state-level honor for a concert ensemble to receive in Texas music education, and is equivalent to capturing a Texas State Championship in Conference 6A. The title represents the 9th championship captured by the PWHS ensemble since its inception.
The high-quality music education our students receive is evidenced in this coveted award and the district extends congratulations to these incredible students and their directors, Ryan Ross (orchestra) and Jackie Digby (band) at Plano West High School.
