Plano ISD School Board Approves 2024-25 Compensation Plan
April 3, 2024
At their meeting on Tuesday, April 2, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees approved the recommended 2024-25 compensation plan, which includes a 3% raise for all staff members that will be calculated based on each employee’s actual salary.
The plan also includes the following adjustments:
- The starting salary for teachers, nurses and librarians will increase from $60,000 to $61,000 ($63,000 with a master's degree)
- The teacher pay scale will be adjusted from $350 between each year to $400 between each year
- The pay scale will be adjusted for positions that have been routinely hard to fill, including:
- Bus Drivers – $24 per hour (up from $22)
- Bus Assistants – $17 per hour (up from $15)
- Special Education Structured Assistants – $17 per hour (up from $15)
“With an anticipated budget impact of $7,594,301, this increase highlights the school board’s long-standing tradition of working to keep Plano ISD competitive in recruiting and retaining employees,” Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams said. “This plan not only shows our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our staff, but it is also an investment in the future of our district.”
