Congratulations to Plano ISD Board President Nancy Humphrey, who was announced as the recipient of the 2024 Best of Plano Distinguished Leadership Award by the Plano Chamber of Commerce at the Board Work Session on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The announcement was made by 2023 recipient LaShon Ross, Deputy City Manager for the City of Plano.

The Distinguished Leadership Award is a recognition that provides an opportunity for exceptional graduates of Leadership Plano to be honored for making significant and notable contributions to the betterment of their community. The award is selected by a committee of Leadership Plano Advisory members and past Distinguished Leadership Award winners.

Ms. Humphrey, a graduate of Leadership Plano Class 30, will be recognized at the 2024 Best of Plano Awards Night on Friday, November 1, at the Marriott at Legacy Town Center. Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams will also be honored as the 2024 Athena Award recipient, along with other business and community leaders.
