Renovations lead to a new and improved HSLC!

We miss our students terribly, but we are making the best of a sad situation by improving the Center so when the students return we will be better than ever! We have received a new roof, new carpet in the classroom and auditoreum, and even an addition of a staff restroom. We have new electrical drops installed in the LMC and also new entrance doors to the courtyards. Soon we will have a water filtration system added and improvements to our gardens, as well. Our stone exterior is being powerwashed and clear coated to resist staining. In addition, we have been cleaning and cleaning and organizing. We had a teacher give away as a means to distribute the supplies we don't need anymore into the PISD classrooms. Elisa Caywood, our Animal Curator, has been busy making improvements to the animal enclosures in the Living Material Center. Just wait until you see the most amazing enclosure she created for our new Grey Fox, Zorro! Mr. Taylor, Ms. Caywood and Mr. Griffith have been busy creating virtual lessons for remote learning opportunities for K-5 students.

And we aren't finished yet! We have numerous ideas that will soon come to fruition, so stay tuned!!
