Frequently Asked Questions

Families who completed enrollment prior to July  2026 for the 2026-2027 school year are given priority for available openings. Students will be enrolled in the order applications were received. If a site is at capacity, families will be placed on a waitlist until an opening becomes available.

Families offered care will receive an email to complete enrollment. Families placed on the waitlist will receive an email notifying them of their waitlist status.

PASAR uses a convenient mobile-friendly online tool to register and manage accounts from any device, including a smartphone or tablet.

After the PASAR contract is approved and the registration fee(s) has been paid, the weekly tuition payment must be made by the start date selected when registering.  Please notify your student's teacher when they will begin attending PASAR.

PASAR is a pre-paid program. The weekly tuition is due each Friday for the following week.

All payments are made on-line by logging into your Brightwheel account.

Payers can follow these steps to export their year-end tax statements:

1. Log in to your brightwheel account
2. Go to Payments and select a student (if multiple)
3. Scroll to click the Statements tab
4. Select Export next to Family 2025 payer tax statement
5. Choose to download or send the statement to your email

PASAR will start immediately after school on early release days. There is no additional charge for PASAR on the Plano ISD early release days.

To update authorized pickups, parents log into their child's Brightwheel Account, scroll to Add Contacts and click the + sign to add a contact and choose approved pickup. For more help managing your child's contacts and approved pickups, review Brightwheel's instructions for parents and guardians. 

Parents may register for this optional service on non-instructional school days. 

Non-School Day Care fees are charged if not canceled by the deadline.

Parents are responsible for notifying the student's teacher before the student's first day of care.

Summer PASAR is available for Plano ISD students who have completed Pre-K through 5th grade.

The students are grouped by grade level.

Snack and water bottle are provided by parents daily.

PASAR provides a special snack on a themed day once a month.  

PASAR sites are nut free when preparing and sending food from home. Healthy, nutritionally balanced lunches and snacks are encouraged. 

Junior and senior high school students are eligible to apply as student workers. All other applicants must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Every applicant must complete the online Plano ISD application. Submission of an application does not guarantee an interview with PASAR.

1. Log into the online application and begin the Plano ISD new applicant registration.
2. Select the role of PASAR activity specialist, and complete all questions.
