• Eligible students will be contacted by their home campus for the following programs:
  • MSA PreK-Kindergarten
  • Pathway to Excellence Elementary & Middle School
  • HS EOC
  • Middle School Newcomer
  • HS ESL
  • HS Credit Recovery
• Exploration: All students currently enrolled in Plano ISD in grades 1st-7th may enroll.

For the Multilingual Summer Academy for PreKinder & Kindergarten students and the Pathway to Excellence programs:

We recommend that students attend the full program in order to get the best learning experience possible.  Students would find it difficult to join classes after they have already started.

Please visit our website, www.pisd.edu/summerschool, and check out each program's specific registration information. Most programs will have parents register through the Parent Portal.

You can check Skyward to confirm that your student has been enrolled in a summer school program.  For students in the Exploration program, you can also confirm their class selections by following the instructions below.

Please contact your child's counselor at their home campus. 

Some high school students are eligible to take certain courses in eSchool. Please visit us at our eSchool webpage for a full list of courses available. If your student has questions if a course is necessary for graduation, please have them contact their campus counselor.

It is up to your student. They can work on one course and complete it and then work on the other next, or work on both classes at the same time.

If they work on one class at a time, the student needs to let their other teacher know they are finishing the other class first,  so they are aware and understand why the student will not be making progress through the course during the whole program period.

Yes, breakfast and lunch are provided for free to all students at the full-day summer school programs, MSA PreKindergarten-Kindergarten and Pathway to Excellence (Elementary and Middle School).

Vegetarian options are available. Parents can view the daily menu on www.schoolcafe.com/pisd. 

• Select the summer school campus that your student will be attending to view the menu for that location.
• From School Cafe, they can select their exact serving location and meal type.
