Middle School Newcomer Program | Grades 6-8

Registration Letters Due to Campus: Thursday, April 2, 2026

Program Description

• This program is designed specifically for Newcomers in Year One and serves as an academic bridge for the next school year by providing targeted, grade-level instruction for the development of skills in English (reading/writing), math, science, and social studies.

Eligible Students

• Students currently in grades 5-8 who are identified as Newcomers (Year One). 
• Home campuses will send invitation letters to students who are eligible to attend.

Dates & Times

• JULY 6 - 17, 2026 (Monday - Friday)
• 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Locations

• Bowman Middle School  (All program students will attend here.)

Cost

• There is no cost to attend the summer school program.

Transportation

• Busing is provided from the students’ neighborhood middle school campus.
• Please keep in mind that the neighborhood campus may not be the campus the student attends during the school year. 
• Summer bus routes will be posted in May 2026.

Registration

• Students who need to attend will be contacted by their campus in Spring 2026.
• If you need assistance with registration, please contact your child's counselor.
