Multilingual Summer Academy for Bilingual / ESL | Grades Pre-K & Kindergarten

Program Description

• The Multilingual Summer Academy is meant to provide students receiving ESL and Bilingual services with targeted instruction designed to prepare them to be successful in Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
• In the Pre-K program, instruction will focus on language development, academic and social skills. 
• The Kindergarten program is designed to develop language and to accelerate academic skills in reading, writing and math. 

Eligible Students

• Current Pre-K or Kindergarten students who have accepted and are participating in either Bilingual or ESL programs during the 2025-2026 school year.
• Invitation letters will be sent home in late March 2026.

Dates & Times

• June 1 - 25, 2026 (Monday - Friday). No school on June 19th (Juneteenth Holiday)
• 8:30 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.

• Christie Elementary School
• Meadows Elementary School
• Mitchell Elementary School

Please review the program feeder patterns to identify your student's campus assignment, based on their neighborhood elementary campus.  (This may not be the campus the student attends during the school year, especially if they are a PreK student.)

Cost

This program is offered at no cost to students.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch are provided for free to all students.

Transportation

• Busing is provided from the students’ neighborhood elementary campus. 
• Keep in mind that the neighborhood campus may not be the campus the student attends during the school year.
• Summer bus routes will be posted in May 2026.

Registration

• Opens: Invitation Letters will be sent to eligible students from their home campus beginning Monday, March 24, 2026.
• Closes: Completed Invitation Letters should be returned to home campuses by Thursday, April 2, 2026.
• Registration is only being completed by returning Invitation Letters to students' Home Campuses.
