Program Description

The PISD Pathway to Excellence program provides targeted instruction to help students in grades 3-5 develop skills in reading, math, and/or science.
 

Pathway to Excellence for Bilingual & ESL (for students in grades 3-5) provides targeted instruction to help students in our dual language / bilingual program develop skills in reading, math, and/or science. 

• 3rd grade P2E: B&ESL will include all students who receive an invitation and participate in our dual language program.
• 4th & 5th grade P2E: B&ESL will serve our students who take STAAR in Spanish.

Eligible Students

• Only students who receive an invitation from their home campus may attend P2E.
• If you have questions about whether your child qualifies for P2E, please contact your child's school.

Dates & Times

• JULY 6 - 17, 2026 (Monday - Friday)
• 7:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

• Daffron Elementary
• Jackson Elementary
• Mendenhall Elementary

Please review the P2E Elementary feeder patterns to identify your student's campus assignment, based on their neighborhood elementary campus.  (This may not be the campus the student attends during the school year.)

Cost

• There is no cost to attend the summer school program.

Meals

• Breakfast and lunch are provided for free to all students.

Transportation

• Busing is provided from the students’ neighborhood elementary school.
• Please keep in mind that the neighborhood campus may not be the campus the student attends during the school year. 
• Summer bus routes will be posted in May 2026.

Registration

• Students who need to attend will be contacted by their Home Campus by early March 2026.
  • Closes: Completed Invitation Letters should be returned to home campuses by Thursday, April 2, 2026.
• 2nd Round of Invitations based on STAAR scores: Letters emailed to parents on June 2, 2026
  • Must complete Registration Form in Skyward Family Access.
  • Closes: Sunday, June 14, 2026
