Summer School Bus Route Information

Bus Route Details Published for Parents

Parents can now access personalized transportation details for summer school riders!

Families of students who sign up for summer school bus service can view individual bus route details through My Ride K-12. The platform provides access to a student's assigned route numbers, scheduled stop times and stop locations. 

Information can be accessed through the My Ride K-12 mobile application, the My Ride K-12 website, or through Skyward.

Information will be available in MyRideK12 no earlier than 10 days before the first day of the summer program.

Bus Safety and Pick-Up Procedures

Transportation Services provides color-coded “Bus Badges" for all Pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st-grade students attending summer school campuses who are eligible to ride Gen Ed buses.

These badges will be sent home in your student’s Summer School Welcome Packet.  The badge is personalized to show your student’s name, grade, campus, bus route, and bus stop information. The colors represent the student’s grade level: Red for PreKindergarten, Yellow for Kindergarten, and Green for 1st grade. 

The badges are already placed inside plastic badge holders along with color-coded zip ties.  Please make sure that these badge holders are zip tied to your student’s backpack BEFORE the first day of summer school.  This is used so the bus driver can be certain that we are releasing the student at the correct bus stop and with the correct level of required parent/guardian/designee/sibling supervision. 

Remember: The parent/guardian/designee picking up your student MUST have the official PISD bus card in the corresponding color-coded for pickup EACH DAY.  Students WILL NOT be released from the bus if you do not have this card.

For questions regarding bus routes, times, and locations, please call the Dispatch Office (phone number above).

  • Your child should arrive at the stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pick up time.
  • If there is a substitute driver, there is a chance the bus could be a few minutes late.  Please understand the times may not be absolutely consistent with the regular scheduled pickup times due to traffic, weather, and other unforeseen occurrences.
  • If the bus is late, ask your child to remain at the stop. There may be incidents beyond our control but there will always be a bus at every stop.
  • If the wait becomes extreme (approximately 20 minutes), please call the Transportation Dispatch office at 469-752-0792.
