Ms. Griselda Ruvalcaba
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! I am Ms. Ruvalcaba and this is my 19th year in Plano ISD and my 4th year at Forman Elementary. Before counseling, I taught 1st grade bilingual, 3rd grade bilingual and 4th grade bilingual. I have my bachelor’s degree in bilingual education, a master’s degree in curriculum & instruction, and a master’s degree in school counseling all from UNT Denton. I love being a Forman Falcon and I love UNT!
I was born in Wylie, Texas and am Mexican American. My family is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I love to travel and before counseling and teaching, I was a nursing assistant for Medical Center of Plano and a flight attendant with American Airlines. I discovered my love for teaching after volunteering at my church and teaching Sunday school. I continue teaching through counseling by doing guidance lessons and teaching students how to recognize their emotions and how to self-regulate by using mindfulness techniques like deep breathing.
