Robinson Fine Arts Center Donor Recognition and Tour
In great appreciation of their support of Plano ISD and the Robbie & Lynore Robinson Fine Arts Center, a Donor Recognition and Tour event was held on May 24 to thank patrons who have contributed to the venue’s “Staging the Future” endowment campaign.
While the citizens of Plano ISD generously approved the 2016 bond that funded the design and construction of the fine arts center, an endowment campaign was launched in 2021. The campaign is an opportunity for patrons to be a part of the district’s fine arts legacy through naming opportunities that will pay for general operations costs after the facility opens.
“Your support will make the vision for a beautiful and functional fine arts space for Plano ISD students a reality, bringing to life the longtime dream and soon-to-be legacy of Robbie and Lynore Robinson,” stated Board of Trustees Vice President Nancy Humphrey.
Incoming Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams echoed her comments, stating “You are here today because of your generous investment in the future of Plano ISD students—and in the legacy of our award-winning fine arts education and programs in this district. Like you, we are eager to open these doors—and we are working diligently to make sure that our fine arts center is what our community expects and what our students deserve.”
The Robinson Fine Arts Center is designed to showcase music, dance, theater and the visual arts. The building is approximately 82,200 square feet spread across two levels. The main theater has 1,500 seats and one balcony level. The building also has a flexible 200-seat studio theater, large rehearsal room and gallery component for exhibitions.
In addition to previewing donor plaques at the event, attendees were also treated to tours of the venue.
