    The Architectural Drafting and Design program of study focuses on occupational and educational opportunities associated with developing, engineering, and designing building structures and facilities. This program of study includes reading, interpreting, and drawingblueprints for interior and exterior construction projects.

    Interior Design l addresses the needs of individuals by enhancing the environments in which they live and work. Emphasis is placed on home construction, the elements and principles of design, space planning, presentation, and working designs. Styles and quality of furniture, wall, window, ceiling, floor treatments and accessories will be analyzed for selection and use.Students will use knowledge and skills related to interior and exterior environments, construction, and furnishings to make wise consumer decisions and promote health and sustainability while increasing productivity.

Professional portfolios will be created with material supporting an educational/career plan for the future.Students will earn 3.0 credits for successful completion of this course which includes one class period per school day on campus and two class periods per school day allocated for early release for off campus work experience.
