Emergency Services
The Emergency Services program of study focuses on occupational and educational opportunities associated with Emergency Medical Services. This program of study includes disaster response and the knowledge and skills necessary to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Disaster Response includes basic training of students in disaster survival and rescue skills that would improve the ability of citizens to survive until responders or other assistance could arrive. Students will receive education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues and disasters of all kinds.

Professional portfolios will be created with material supporting an educational/career plan for the future.Students will earn 3.0 credits for successful completion of this course which includes one class period per school day on campus and two class periods per school day allocated for early release for off campus work experience.
