    Maria Gallastegui

I am privileged to be the Assisstant Principal at Forman Elementary School.

I was born in Mexico City where I graduated from "El Tecnologico de Estudios  Superiores de Monterrey" with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. I attended Texas A&M to obtain my Bilingual Teacher Certification and obtained my Master's Degree in School Administration and Principal certification from Lamar University.

I have worked in education for 24 years! My passion to help every kid succeed started in McKinney where I taught 5th grade for 3 years. I joined the  Plano Independent School District teaching at Mendenhall Elementary 2nd grade, Kindergarten and being the Instructional Specialist for 18 years. This is my fourth year as an administrator and with great pride I am joining the Forman school community.

I have 3 children, Paola, Rafael and Laura. They make their mother proud everyday for their accomplishments! I have 3 dogs and 3 grand doggies who manage to spend considerable time at my house!

I am very honored and excited to be part of the Forman Community this year. I am committed to the academic and social emotional success of every student and I know it cannot be accomplished without the partnership of  an outstanding staff, family, and community. I am looking forward to working together to continue the Forman's tradition of achieving excellence for all students.
