I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1991. I taught 6th grade for one year in Alabama before returning to my home state of Texas to teach 4th grade for five years. After having children, I took some years off from full-time teaching to be a mom and returned to the classroom in 2012 after working two years as a Special Education Assistant in PISD. All three of my children attended Plano schools and graduated from Plano East! My favorite thing to do when I am not at school is spend time with my husband, Larry, and our kids. I cherish our times together even more now that our children are grown and two of them are married.
