Hi! My name is Danielle Gunn, and I am a Special Education Co-Team Leader and 4^th Grade Case Manager. This will be my 7^th year as a Special Educator and 2nd year as a Wells Tiger! I previously taught at Rasor Elementary for 5 years. I grew up in Allen, TX and graduated from Texas A&M in 2018 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Psychology (whoop!). I was awarded the 2020-2021 Rasor Teacher of the Year.

I live with my husband in the North Texas area with our dog, Sophie. We love traveling and being outdoors, trying new restaurants, seeing live music or theater, and going to the movies. When I’m not at school, you can probably find me reading on my couch and snuggling with Sophie.

My teaching philosophy includes providing a structured, loving, and risk-taking learning environment so my students feel safe to challenge themselves and grow. Through collaboration with the campus, family, and community, we can work together to teach our students the academic and social skills that are required to be functioning members of their community. I place a high emphasis on teaching functional and daily living skills that will help my students throughout their secondary education and beyond. I look forward to meeting all of you and joining the Wells family!
