Mobile Food Pantry Distribution
In partnership with Minnie’s Food Pantry, Plano ISD will hold a food distribution for families on Thursday, August 13 at Williams High School, from 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m., or as long as supplies last. This distribution will be held in the back parking lot of Williams, facing 18th Street, and is available to any family in need of food.
Curbside Meal Service During Remote Learning
The Plano ISD Food and Nutritional Services Department has established curbside meal pickup locations to offer all PISD students the opportunity to purchase meals for offsite consumption on instructional learning days. Beginning August 12 through September 4, meals will be served Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Students purchasing meals will receive a lunch for the day and a breakfast for the following day. Meals will no longer be free of charge for all students, as provided during the spring remote learning and the summer feeding program. Free and reduced priced meals are available for qualifying students. Menu information can be found on the Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) website.
Compliance for Curbside Meal Pickup
Based on federal regulations, pertaining to the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs, any meals served must be claimed by the applicable site and recorded at the correct eligibility status (free, reduced or paid), meal price and in a manner compliant with the board-approved Unpaid Meal Charge Policy.
All parents/guardians must provide their student’s ID number when picking up meals whether the student is present or not. Students are not required to be present for meal pickup.
Federal Meal Application
Student eligibility status from the 2019-20 school year will roll over for the first 30 operating days of school or until a new application has been processed. If you would like to complete a household application for free and reduced-price meals, please visit SchoolCafe. Allow 10 business days for application processing.
Curbside Meal Pickup Locations
Parents may pick up meals for their student(s) at a curbside meal pickup location closest to their home campus site.
Meal Pricing and Payment Options
All meals will be priced based on the student's current eligibility status. Curbside meal pricing can be found on the Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) website. Online payments will be accepted through the student meal online payment system. Cash and checks will also be accepted.
PISD School@Home and Face-to-Face Learning
Beginning, September 9, curbside meals will continue to be offered for PISD School@Home students. Feeding site locations may change. Any changes to locations will be communicated at a later date. For PISD face-to-face students, regular meal service will be offered.
