October 10, 2024

On Thursday, Computer Science and Engineering students from Clark and Williams High Schools explored future career paths during an exclusive visit to AT&T Discovery Park. This immersive educational experience provided students with an inside look at the telecommunications industry, including insights into the operation and installation of internet fiber technology within communities.

Throughout the day, students engaged with industry professionals who shared personal career stories and highlighted the skills necessary to succeed in the ever-evolving tech landscape. These conversations gave students a clearer picture of the diverse opportunities available at AT&T.

The afternoon session featured hands-on activities, where students collaborated to build a robot and a solar energy power kit. These interactive projects emphasized teamwork, problem-solving, and practical application of classroom concepts, bridging the gap between theory and real-world experiences.

The visit provided a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the tech industry and explore potential careers in telecommunications. With exposure to cutting-edge technology and direct interactions with experts, the students left inspired and better equipped to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

AT&T Discovery Park’s commitment to fostering future talent ensured that the students walked away not only with new skills but also with a sense of the exciting possibilities that await them in the world of technology.
