Tittle I Support Specialist
In 1998 I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I was fortunate enough to have my student teaching experience right here at Dooley Elementary just prior to graduating. I later received a Master's degree in Teacher Leadership from Lamar University. I have spent all but one of my teaching years at Dooley Elementary and can honestly say I am a Dooley Dragon Forevermore!
I believe that building a relationship with my students is the first step in creating a successful learning environment. Former students will tell you that I love to incorporate relevant life stories to provide real-world examples of the objectives that we are learning at school. It is also very important to me to build a relationship with my students' parents. I believe that we can achieve more together and believe that parent involvement plays a valuable role in our students' social, emotional, and academic success.
My family is amazing! I am married to my husband Bill, who is a 1983 graduate of Plano East High school. Our two children, Ryan & Brandon are former Dooley Dragons. Though they are grown, they continue to be a source of joy in my life.
