First Grade Teacher

My name is Vi Figueroa (pronounced like the letter V), and I’m the fourth grade team lead here at Dooley! This year, I am the math teacher, and am excited to help your students love and feel confident with math! Many of my students, colleagues, and parents know me as Mrs. Fig. I’m a Plano ISD K-12 alumnus who couldn’t help but come back to the district to teach the next generation. My teaching passion is rooted in an unshakable love for and belief in kids, and I particularly enjoy personalizing learning to my students and helping to spark and guide the cross-curricular and real-world connections that form meaningful learning. I also LOVE children's books. In my free time, I love to relax with my family, READ, take pictures, and engage in crafty activities such as crochet.
