I am so happy to be teaching here at Haun Elementary! I grew up attending PISD making my way through Thomas Elementary, Hendrick Middle School, Clark High School and finally Plano East Senior High School. I then completed my undergraduate at The University of Oklahoma. I have been fortunate enough to be able to continue to be attached to our wonderful district in both my professional and personal life.

I have been lucky to find a home here at Haun Elementary, this is my 7th year at Haun Elementary and my 5th year teaching Kindergarten! I come from an education family and despite taking a different route at the start of university, I found my way back to teaching and could not be more happy with my choice! I am passionate about helping and working with children. My favorite part of the day is spending time with your children in large and small group settings and seeing the accelerated growth that comes at this young age. It is always so fun to hear and see a 5 or 6-year olds perspective on a particular topic. Seeing a child light up at this age as they experience something for the very first time, something we as adults often take for granted is just one of the many things that brings me joy and makes teaching such a rewarding profession for me!

In Kindergarten we are working really hard on everything from social skills and social emotional learning to academics in the areas of reading, math, science, social studies, and writing. It is my goal to help our children enjoy their Kindergarten year and be ready and successful as they move on to 1st grade and beyond. Please feel free to contact me if there is any way I can help!
