Hello!
My name is Tara Brandenburg, and this is my 12th year as your librarian at Boggess Elementary. Before I was a librarian, I taught in the classroom and had experience teaching kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 4th Grade. This is my 19th year working in education in the state of Texas. I am very excited to see all the students back this year, and my goal is to assist all students in becoming lifelong readers.
On a personal note, I have three adorable dogs: Fritz, my 13-year-old Yorkie; Sherlock, my two ½-year-old Yorkie mix rescue; and Belle, my one ½-year-old Chiweenie mix rescue. I love to travel and have been to ten different countries, including Hong Kong, where I taught at an English camp for one month. I love reading mysteries, decorating and baking for the holidays, painting, and practicing martial arts in my free time. My favorite book of all time is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
