• Ms. Julie Thrift

My name is Julie Thrift, and I am so grateful to be a part of the Boggess community! I joined this wonderful campus in the 2023-2024 school year as school counselor and am excited to continue strengthening relationships with students, staff, and families. To those of you who are new to Boggess, WELCOME!  I look forward to getting to know you and your Boggess Bengals!

As school counselor, I work diligently to advocate for each student and support them in every way possible. One way I am able to do this is through guidance lessons. I see each K-5 student in class twice per month and pre-K on a 3-week rotation. In these lessons, I cover a variety of topics, including but not limited to bullying prevention, conflict resolution, stress management/self-regulation, friendship, drug education prevention, and goal-setting. In addition to guidance, I work with students individually and in small groups to provide support in navigating their circumstances. These types of interventions are provided on a referral basis from teachers, parents, or the students themselves. I have the best job in the world because I get to do what I love — work with children and families!

My door is always open, so please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do for you!
