I enjoy helping students overcome learning challenges and witnessing their growth in confidence regarding their abilities. In my classroom, I employ small group instruction, partner reading, differentiated instruction, multi-sensory activities, and engaging technology to reach students of all levels and ages.
I was born in Dallas, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Science, focusing on Education and Music, from Dallas Baptist University. I hold a Master of Arts in Curriculum Design and Instructional Leadership from Argosy University, as well as a Master of Arts in Reading from Tarleton State University.
My husband, Ryan, and I reside in Plano. We both have a passion for music and the fine arts. I have an adorable miniature schnauzer named Maggie Mae. I cherish spending time with my family and friends. This fall will mark my 14th year teaching in Texas public schools and my third year at Wells Elementary. During my first two years at Wells, I taught fifth grade. I am excited to join the fourth-grade teaching team and return to teaching at that grade level. I know it is going to be a wonderful year!
