• College and Career Readiness

Fine Arts programs of study are critical to building college and career readiness skills in students through rigorous curricula, consistent practice and rehearsal, and execution of articulated skills under significant competitive and interscholastic demand. These opportunities in competition and co-curricular practice help prepare our students for the demands of higher education settings, as well as the demands of the 21st century workforce.  Though many of our PISD fine arts alumni go on to become professionals in other career industries such as law, engineering, medical, education, business, finance, others remain in the arts and lead a $6 billion arts and entertainment workforce in the state of Texas.
