Hi there!

My name is Mrs. Holmes. I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Centennial Elementary 2024-2025 and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. Centennial is a wonderful place to teach and learn, and I feel lucky to be in this profession doing what I love.  I strive to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best. I received my degree in Education from SOSU. I have my certification in EC-6, Science of Reading and  ESL. This will be my 9th year in education. I’ve been married to my husband for 13 years. We have 2 beautiful children together who both attend Plano ISD schools. My daughter plays the cello and my son plays baseball. We also have a sweet Miniature Schnauzer puppy named Harley who keeps us on our toes. In my free time I love to travel, shop, and craft, but more than likely you will find me cheerleading my kids on from the sidelines at one of their many sporting events.I am excited to make this the best school year yet!  Go Comets!
