Ms. Paige Nalley - Music
Hello, Centennial Comets! I am Paige Nalley, your music teacher, and a proud product of Plano ISD. I attended McMurry University where I received a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies and certificates in Elementary Education and Elementary Music Education. After beginning a Master’s degree in Music Therapy at the University of Kansas, I earned a M. E. with the first cadre of Plano teachers through the University of North Texas/Plano ISD partnership. My career began as a fourth grade teacher at Brinker E.S., opened Barksdale E.S. in third grade, and have been blessed to teach third, second, first grades and music at Centennial since we opened in 1999. All teachers are lifelong learners and I’ve earned additional certifications through UNT and SMU in Kodály Levels I, II, III; am an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Association of Texas Professional Educators. Our outstanding PTA honored me with a Life Membership in 2012 and my amazing colleagues selected me as our 2017 Teacher of the Year. When not making music with our super Centennial students, I enjoy paddling on the dragon boat with Dallas United Crew PINK and community service through Breast Cancer Can Stick It. I stay involved at St. Andrew United Methodist Church and love movies, walking, and spending time with my family which includes my rescued and much loved Cocker Spaniel. I am grateful and will always value the amazing support of our Centennial community through my successful battle with breast cancer. We’re going to have a great year together, Comets!
