Hi Centennial families, I am so excited to be a part of the 4th grade team at Centennial Elementary!

My name is Uttama Nag, and I grew up in India. I did my Masters in English and taught at a middle school for 3 years. After I got married, I moved to the United States of America. I did my Masters in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I taught in Dallas ISD for 17 years at 3rd and 4th grade levels, and have been teaching for the last 27 years. My husband and I are proud Plano residents, and have two daughters, Sumedha and Shreya. Sumedha attended Plano East, graduated from UT-Austin and works for a healthcare company in Chicago. Shreya is a sophomore at the California Institute of Technology.

I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun and adventure. I truly believe that education is a lifelong endeavor and through education students learn the necessary skills and practices to be successful in life. As teachers, our role is to provide them with a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters their curiosity and enables them to learn and grow in a safe and open setting.
