Dr. Amy Willerson began her teaching career as a middle and high school theatre teacher in Los Angeles. Since then, she has been on a long and winding path that has led her to teach in private, charter, and public schools using arts-integration to teach English, History, Theatre, and Social Studies in Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas. Most recently, Dr. Willerson taught education courses at the University of North Texas in the College of Education's Teacher Preparation Program. Using the arts as a springboard and engaging students at a creative level is the mindset that guides her teaching practices. Dr. Willerson lives in Frisco with her husband, 3 children (ages 13, 16, and 19), and Bailey the dog.
