Summer Richie grew up in Dallas, Texas. After high school, she attended the University of Missouri, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minors in Multicultural Studies, Sociology, and Fine Arts. Winning the Visual Arts and Design Showcase and having her artist book accepted as a permanent addition to the Special Collections at the University of Missouri Library were among her proudest achievements at the undergraduate level. She then moved back to Texas to pursue a Master’s degree in Teaching from Texas Woman’s University.In her free time, she likes to sew her own clothes, do beaded embroidery, or get lost in a good book! She is excited to be teaching World Geography at Academy High School this year.
