Years in Education: This is my 17th year of teaching and my 3rd year at Daffron. I started my teaching career in high school English and have also taught 5th, 2nd and the last 10 years in Kindergarten. Now, I am starting a new adventure in Dyslexia therapy. I am currently working to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT). I love teaching kids to read and have always been fascinated with how the brain works to learn to read; making this the perfect position for me!

Family: I live in Plano with my husband, Mr. Jacobs, a principal in Dallas, my son, Walker, in sixth grade, my daughter, Millie, in third grade and our super, silly labrador, Hank! 

Interests/Hobbies: When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me cheering on my own kiddos on the field and court, traveling with my family, watching the Cowboys with my husband or walking the dog.
