Hi! My name is Katy Albright, and I am thrilled to begin my second year of teaching at Centennial!

I grew up in Houston, Texas, but came to Dallas for college and decided to stay! I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in May 2023 with my bachelor's and master’s degrees. I did a session of student teaching in Plano ISD, which opened my eyes to this great district! I love having the opportunity to foster a community in my classroom where students feel valued, as well as challenged. I'm looking forward to growing alongside my students this year!

My husband, Evan, and I recently celebrated our two year anniversary in July and have had our puppy, Penelope, for a little over a year! I love spending time with them, as well as reading, hiking, and trying new coffee shops.

I'm excited for a great year with 5th grade Comets!
