Gwen Thomas

Gwen Thomas is the 1st Year Career and Technical Education Facilitator.  For much of her career, she worked in the non-profit sector with children and adults to better understand the natural systems in which we live, and opportunities for improved management and conservation.  In 2019, she moved into the formal classroom with the goal of educating the next generation to understand, question, and make informed decisions about activities that will impact the health and wellbeing of our planet.

Originally from Boston, Ms. Thomas has lived and worked in both the U.S. and abroad.  In her free time, you will find her exploring local trails on foot and by bicycle.  She spent the summer of 2023 working on an elephant research project in Kenya and loves to share her passion for international travel and research with her students.  She is thrilled to join the wonderful AHS team.
