Marissa was born and raised in Missouri.  She moved to Dallas in 2003 and hasn’t left.  She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, with an Education certification, from the University of North Texas.  Marissa loves all things Social Studies, but the Government tops the list.  Having the opportunity to teach the next generation of citizens is truly an honor.

Marissa currently resides in Allen with her husband and two kids. Her time away from school is spent shuffling children to practices, cooking (which she enjoys), and lots of mini-vacations.
