Kindergarten Teacher/Team Leader

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Kara Krause and I am delighted to be your child's teacher! I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with activities that will promote growth and wonderful experiences for your child. 

Here is a little bit about me. I grew up in Arlington, Texas. Before teaching, I was a lifeguard for 12 summers! I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and my Master's Degree from Lamar University. This is my 26th year teaching, 22 at Christie and 4 before that in Mansfield ISD. I taught 2nd grade for 8 years and the rest has been in Kindergarten. 

I have a son, Gavin, who graduated from Plano Senior High School, and a daughter, Kayden, who is in 8th grade at Carpenter. In my spare time, I enjoy going out to dinner with my friends, going to the beach, and organizing!
