I love teaching Kindergarten here at Christie Elementary! Not only will we all become smarter together, these students learn how to become great friends, citizens, and leaders. In Kindergarten we learn to read (even with expression!), how to be a good friend, how to be organized, how to take ownership, use our manners, how to share and be kind to others, how to stay as clean as possible, eat independently in the lunchroom, be creative, speak in front of a class, own our mistakes and learn from them, become scientists, mathematicians, understand some of our history, learn important life lessons, have so much FUN, and the list goes on! All these things are essential life skills and I love being part of their important foundation in their educational career! It is important to me to be a starting point for them finding their love for learning and giving them the confidence to be the best student they can be! We are a team and a family, and do all we can do to help each other out and make each other better!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to my boys' sports events, playing golf and pickleball, and traveling.
