• Application and Lottery/Selection Timeline

    Parent and student informational meetings for the IB World School- please attend one if you are planning to apply.

    • Parent and student informational meeting (Plano East theater)
      • Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 6:30 pm  
    • Virtual Parent and student informational meeting - Registration here
      • Tuesday, October 29, 2024 (virtual Zoom meeting) at 6:30 pm. 

    Students must apply to the IB World School by November 19, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Students are selected by lottery.

    Students will be notified of placement by November 22, 2024, at 9:00 pm.

    Students must accept placement by December 6, 2024 at 5:00 pm or their spot will be given to a student on the waitlist.

    Once a student accepts a spot at any Plano ISD academy, they will be removed from the waitlist at other academies.

     

  • Student SelectionStudent selection is based on a lottery. Families will be informed through email of the results on November 30, 2024 by 9:00 pm.

  • Notice of placement

    First-round Notificaton: November 22, 2024, by 9:00 pm.

    Student Commitment required: on or before December 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Commitment is affirmed through completion of a form linked to the acceptance email. Acceptance at one academy means that you will automatically be removed from the waitlist at other academies. If a family fails to accept placement by December 7, that seat is forfeited and offered to a student on the IB waitlist.
