Hello! This is my third year as the librarian at Wells Elementary. I taught reading and language arts in Dallas for eight years before following my passion for books and libraries. I decided to pursue a master's degree in library information science, and have served as a Library Media Specialist for close to ten years.  

Being a librarian is a dream come true. I get to work with every student in the school, from kindergarten to fifth grade. My favorite part of being a librarian is seeing them grow as readers, learners, and individuals throughout their six years in elementary school. 

When I'm not at work, I'm a proud parent to three amazing kids. Two of them are part of the Plano ISD community, one as a Vines Wildcat and the other as a fifth-grader. And I have an active three-year-old who keeps me on my toes!

Fun Facts

• My husband Dan attended Wells way back in the 80s when it was a shiny new school.
• I am also a mom to the sweetest rescue dog named Goose, who is a 50 pound cuddle bug, full of energy and adorableness. 
• My undergrad degree is from Texas Christian University in journalism. Go Frogs! 
• I am a super picky eater and never try anything new! I already know I won’t like it.
